What is LokDrishti

A civic intelligence engine for India's Parliament.

LokDrishti aggregates official parliamentary data from PRS Legislative Research and Lok Sabha records to compute objective performance scores for all 543 MPs of the 18th Lok Sabha.

We measure what MPs actually do — not what they say. Attendance, questions raised, debate participation, and their combined Lok Sabha Civic Index (LCI) score give citizens a fair, unbiased picture of parliamentary performance.

01
Radical Transparency
Every metric is public, every formula is open-source. No black boxes, no hidden editorial decisions — just raw parliamentary data any citizen can verify.

02
Zero Political Bias
We measure attendance, questions, and debates — actions in the official record. No opinion is ever injected into the scoring algorithm. BJP or INC, the formula is identical.

Data Integrity
All data comes directly from PRS Legislative Research and official Lok Sabha records. We never modify, selectively present, or editorialize it — ever.

How It Works

From raw Parliament records to your screen

1
Data Collection
PRS Legislative Research collects official attendance, questions, and debate records from the Lok Sabha Secretariat after every session.
2
Normalisation
Each metric is normalised to a 0–1 scale relative to all 543 MPs, so scores are comparable across sessions and constituencies.
3
LCI Computation
The Lok Sabha Civic Index (LCI) is a weighted composite: 40% attendance, 35% questions, 25% debate participation. Formula is open-source.
4
Citizen Dashboard
Scores are rendered in plain English with A–F grades so any citizen — regardless of background — can instantly judge their MP.
